Vegas, Baby.

Do you have any items on your Bucket List that perhaps are included more as rites of passage that you know you should take part in at some point in life, than actual things that tug at heart strings?

I have one. Las Vegas.

It’s glitzy, blinding neon. Everywhere.

It’s sexy, and available, yet totally unattainable.

It’s too expensive, but it’s all comped if you do it right.

It’s over the top. Way too much. Or is it just right?

Hard to say.

I’ve never been.

I see the allure of Vegas, I really do. It’s why it’s on my List of course. And yet I don’t gamble, am not into Cher, loathe buffets to my very core, and don’t own anything that’s both slinky AND bedecked in sequins.

Vegas is indeed far down on my List. It’s there, but my big hair days are over, and sequins are so very scratchy. And blinding. Plus, Cher.

But, for reasons out of my control, Vegas is next on the List.

And, as someone I loved very much used to say: “We must be the luckiest people in the world, Em.”

Which is true.
Even if it’s not on the top of the List.

So next week let’s go to that one bar, in the skyscraper, with the glass floor patio. Because it’s ridiculous and we can.

Because we’re the luckiest people in the world.

My List needs a check.
